“if you weren’t… what would/could/might…”
If we weren't teachers, we would be.....
The 2nd conditional (or conditional II) is the present/future unreal. It’s used to talk about imagined or unreal situations, like when we’re dreaming about something that isn’t true.

been there done that, got the t-shirt: you’ve done every facet of that activity/task/job, for example: you’ve visited everywhere in a city or have done all of something
wanderlust & itchy feet: a desire to travel, or move to a new place
to itch to do something: a desire to do something
