Language Focus: The Present Simple

We use the present simple in 3 main ways;

  • Facts - ‘water boils at 100 degrees’

  • Habits - ‘I listen to EATP every week’

  • Routines - ‘I get up at 07.30 every day’

Active & State Verbs

Most verbs are action verbs and we can use them in the present continuous to talk about something that is happening now or around now;
